Assume weight of the plank can be neglected, there’s only one condition to keep the plank steady (not tilting), the weight of each man is the same, let us say 1 F. In addition, let us assume weight of the woman is same too, 1 F. These pictures show how much weight lifted by each person for each condition.
first and last picture show that when a man is hanging on the plank, the other just hanging too (pretend to walk). It still count as teamwork though, but it isn’t fair to me.
